Info

As Asian Americans, we're often seen as a model minority — hard working and knowledgeable, but notoriously passive. For all our accomplishments and accolades, we prefer to fly under the radar and forget the world we live in. But a candle under a cup is of no use to anyone and would soon extinguish. We want to claim our inheritance in God, to stand up and represent Him as the light of the world. We want to rise out of the shadows as an undivided people for Christ. We want to stand together to boldly proclaim his name. Together, in Him, we can be the city on a hill that cannot be hidden.

The Hill is a one-day conference, hosted by INHERITANCE magazine, aimed at awakening the Asian American community towards a greater purpose of seeking God and glorifying His name. We believe that God desires an intimate relationship with Asian Americans and has a unique purpose for them in spreading His name.

You’re invited to join us for a night of praise and worship, artistic expression, uplifting messages and finding opportunities and organizations to partner with. Churches are encouraged to attend as a group!

FAQ

How much does this cost?

The Hill is completely 100% FREE to attend. We believe that The Hill has something very special to offer to all of its attendees, and want to make sure there are no barriers for attendance.

Isn’t an event expensive? How are you paying for all of this?

If you feel moved to help us, we will be collecting donations to help support our organizers and partners and to offset event costs. In addition, we will also be selling a simple, but delicious dinner ($3-5) and various merchandise.

How can I help?

There are two ways you can help!

First, sign up to be a volunteer by clicking here. We need all the help we can get to make sure The Hill runs as smoothly as possible.

Second, you can join our team in praying for The Hill. Every night until October 8, we will be praying at 10:08 p.m. to lift up The Hill — its planning, coordination, execution and outcome. Send us an email to get periodic updates.

Can I bring my friends?

Absolutely! While the target audience for The Hill, like INHERITANCE magazine, is college to adult, we also expect to see a number of our junior high and high school friends there too. There is something for everyone, young and old — all are welcome! Churches are also encouraged to attend as a group.

What will the schedule of The Hill look like?

The Hill is split into two sessions — the first session starts at 3:30pm and the second session starts at 7:15pm. Both sessions will have a time of worship, musical performances and feature one of our compelling speakers.

From 5:45-7:15pm, you will be able to have dinner and check out all of the great booths we will have. When the second session ends at 9:30pm, the booths will be open for another hour before everything is shut down.

We hope that you can make it to as much of The Hill as possible!

Will child care be provided?

Unfortunately, we will not be providing child care. However, there is a cry room that will be made available during the night.
